Growing up, Carlo or also known as “Baloy” was always the adventurous, risk taker and independent sibling. As the youngest, I often wondered how he always seemed to have everything figured out. At age 20 he spearheaded Waves for Water and took challenges that required a ton of work (working with limited logistics/ resources/ labor) and now juggling between startups and the circular economy. He always managed to make a big impact wherever he went.

Though the biggest impact he made was showing me to be independent. I often asked him for guidance and was told to “google it”. I never understood why he couldn’t just tell me but moving to New York, his insistence to learn and research was the key thing to success.

Carlo is a man of efficiency and may seem stern but despite teaching me to be tough, he allowed me to acknowledge my feelings and listened when I needed him most.

Angela, I couldn’t be happier that my brother is marrying you. You balance his dreams and energy, you keep him grounded and loved. I can’t wait to see what’s next for you guys.
